I was elected as a Conservative councillor to Welwyn Hatfield Council in 1991 and have served all the residents in the Brookmans Park and Little Heath Ward since 1998.  I was Leader of the Opposition in 2000, Deputy Leader of the Council in 2004 and made Leader of the Council in 2005.

As Leader I am Chairman of the Cabinet and take a keen interest in cultural service development and community engagement, I have also been able to drive forward the Council's programme for community safety and the improvements in our street scene services.
