As a mother, wife, business woman and chief cook and bottle washer life is hectic enough but I am enjoying being a councillor.
They say if you want something done ask a busy person. During my16 months in this job I have worked very hard for the residents of Handside and the Borough.
- I have attended as many council meetings as possible. This has helped me meet and work with other councillors, of all parties and keep up to speed with local issues.
- I have spent time along side council officers so as to learn what their roles involve and worked alongside many of them to help resolve residents problems.
- Dr. Dennis Lewis and I still have regular meetings, especially in regard to the Handside Association.
Whilst I realise that a website is an important way of communicating, those of you, who log on regularly will have noticed that I am not very good at updating this one.
Apologies to those who would like one and excuses of time better spent on your behalf to the others.
I will try and update this site more often but I make no promises.
