Hello and welcome to my website

I have been a Labour councillor with Sandwell Council since 1991, proudly representing the people living in the Soho and Victoria ward in Smethwick.  I would like to thank the people who have helped and supported me through the years.

December 2010 was my first anniversary of being elected as the Leader of Sandwell Council.  To coincide with this I launched my blog The Bottom Line which I will be using as my main way to communicate in future.  I always am keen to hear the views of people who use the services offered by the Council, so please visit me there and let me know what you think...

As well as my work as Leader and Ward Member I am a nurse, working for the National Health Service, caring for people with mental health problems.

If you wish to contact me in the meantime you can use the form provided in the ‘Contact Me’ section of my website or by emailing me at cooperd14@sky.com
