Councillor John Merry
Broughton Ward
Leader of Salford City Council
I have been a councillor for Salford City Council since 1990.
I became Leader of the Council in May 2003 and embarked upon an ambitious programme to revolutionise the way in which the City Council delivers services.
I chose to settle in Salford following my time at Liverpool Polytechnic achieving a Law Degree and I have been a proud adopted Salfordian ever since.
