I have been a councillor for Salford City Council since 1990.

 

I became Leader of the Council in May 2003 and embarked upon an ambitious programme to revolutionise the way in which the City Council delivers services.

 

I chose to settle in Salford following my time at Liverpool Polytechnic achieving a Law Degree and I have been a proud adopted Salfordian ever since.
