Successfully campaigned on behalf of residents to stop the proposed road through Quantock Gardens. (The only Councillor to openly declare support for residents).
Successfully had yellow lines installed in Pilot Road, making three road junctions safer, after residents complained it was dangerous.
Campaigned against the closure of the youth club at Broomgrove Community Centre by the YDS.
Successfully organised the Trafalgar Day weekend in Hastings, on behalf of all residents of the town, in the face of stiff opposition.
Successfully represented residents in Elphinstone Avenue, against the proposed parking restrictions and had a disabled bay installed for use by blue badge holders.
Successfully had an ambulance bay installed at Fallowfield, following request from residents.
Successfully voted for lower Council Tax in 2006 and 2007.
Successfully campaigned for action over the Malvern Way shops and their appalling condition.
Successfully compered a charity show raising over £100 for Torfield school.
Successfully lobbied the housing association for the demolition of the now rundown and derelict maisonette blocks in The Cheviots and Cotswold Close, leaving an open greenspace for all to enjoy, until redevelopment.
Successfully helped get the Broomgrove Community Centre up and running again after years of neglect.
Successfully lobbied Network Rail regarding the water culvert between Quantock Gardens and Waterside Close. Network Rail agreed to carry out the works.
Successfully supported residents from across the town, against the proposed Gypsy and Traveller sites.
Casework: Successfully resolved 180 out of 181 cases on behalf of residents in Baird.
Has held 73 ward surgeries, offering advice and assistance to the residents of Baird ward and Hastings as a whole.
First Hastings Borough Councillor to be voted Councillor of the Month 2007 by the Local Government Association. (quite an achievement, as I didn't know the award existed)
Helped raise £242.51 for Torfield special needs school, by pushing an old hospital bed with wonky wheels, three and a half miles along the seafront.
Successfully campaigned for the bus shelter in Linley Drive to be refurbished with anti-vandal material.
Successfully campaigned on behalf of Elphinstone Road residents for traffic calming measures to be introduced in 2008-09. The budget of which is £275.000
Successfully had the vandalised dog waste bins in the ward replaced.
Successfully re-elected as Baird ward Councillor in 2008
Raised the fantastic sum of £327 for the Hastings & St Leonards Veterans Association on Good Friday 2009
Raised the whopping sum of £2064.46 towards the cost of the Veterans Association Armed Forces Day in Alexandra Park in 2009 and a further £3400.00 in 2010.
Raised a further £430 for the Veterans Association, with a Christmas Prize draw at the London Trader pub. (by kind permission of the landlord).
Total of funds raised since Good Friday 2009 on behalf of local charities = £13,970.00
